  • Antiviral filter used for taxi Covid-19 counter measure

We have adopted antiviral filters for our vehicles

Antiviral filter

Antiviral filter

We have adopted antiviral filters to prevent coronavirus airborne infection and replace it every month.

According to the WHO announcement, there is a possibility of airborne transmission of coronavirus.

Opinions on this differ depending on the researcher, however, we use antiviral filters that can be expected to prevent airborne transmission in the car.

The antiviral performance meets the international standard ISO18184, which is for the "antiviral test of textile products", and the antibacterial performance meets the international standard ISO 20743-2007, which is for the "antibacterial test of textile products".

Those filters are installed for all of our vehicles.

The air conditioner filters have the role of filtering and cleaning the air taken in from inside and outside the vehicle.

To briefly explain, it's a mask for the inside of a car.

Normally, filters are replaced every year or every 10,000 km, but we replace it every month in consideration of customer's safety.

We can't make an assertion that it is effective against the coronavirus, however, we will continue to take the maximum counter measures as much as we can take.

Our auto mechanic changes the filters every month.

About air circulation

Infection control sheet

Infection control sheet

The Nissan Elgrand and Alphard that we use have antibacterial plastic curtains installed between the driver's seat and the rear seats.

While driving, our vehicles basically take in the air from the outside of the car.

The driver's seat (driver's seat side) has an air intake under the windshield, and the rear seat (guest side) has it near the rear bumper.

The air that enters from the intake port passes through the antibacterial filter and is taken into the car.

Though it's not 100%, there is a safe space for corona counter measures.

Air circulation

Air circulation

As shown in the picture above, we basically take in the air from the outside.

When the odor of exhaust gas is strong, such as when traffic jams occur in a tunnel, our driver changes it to internal air circulation.

We will explain about the internal air circulation.

In the rear seats (guest side) and front seats (driver's seat), the place where air is taken in and discharged are completely separated, and the space between driver's seat and rear seat is separated by an antibacterial plastic curtain.

The air sucked from the rear seat is sent to the back seat through an antibacterial filter.
On the front seat side as well, the air taken in from the front is sent to the front through an antibacterial filter.

Please be assured that there is no air circulation between the front and rear seats.

It is also possible to drive while opening the window glass.
Please let the driver know if you want glass windows to be open.
